This year's Mountain Planet 2024 show is full of big surprises. If yesterday MND announced that they would also manufacture ski lifts, under the Orizon brand, shortly after the eyes went to Sigma, where the cabin manufacturer presented the very spectacular 3S Jandri Express of Les 2 Alpes.
The huge cabin of the 3S Jandri Express by Les 2 Alpes is impressive. Not only for its size, since it can transport 32 people (24 seated), but also for the quality of its finishes and the many details that are included. Designed by Pininfirina (the same company that designs Ferrari or Porsche), it has many rounded edges, as well as soft leather people, but also the roof with LED lights, and a front screen where information on the status of the station will be offered (and surely also some advertising).
The new Jandri Express 3S of Les 2 Alpes will be inaugurated this December 2024.
It will certainly be a pleasant ride, but also a very fast one. So much so that Fabrice Boutet, CEO of the SATA Group (Les 2 Alpes, Alpe d'Huez and La Grave), was quick to point out that with the new Jandri Express, it will be possible to ski three times as much. And he was right. Whereas with the old gondola lift it took a whopping 40 minutes to travel from 1,696 to 3,200 on the glacier, now it will take just 17 minutes.
Thanks to the enormous capacity of the new Jandri Express 3S, which will carry up to 3,000 people per hour, queues will be eliminated, so skiers and snowboarders in good physical shape will be able to make three times as many runs as before.
The cabins of the Jandri Express at Les 2 Alpes can be configured in several ways
The new Jandri Express 3S is also configured to accommodate the summer season. Once the ski season is over, the central people can be removed to allow mountain bikes or baby strollers to enter for families who want to hike.
The new Jandri Express at Les 2 Alpes will open this coming December 2024. It is divided into two sections, with an intermediate stop, and the entire project, which includes the 3S (the most expensive type of ski lift on the market), the terminal buildings, etc.... has required a colossal investment of more than 130 million euros.
Fair but possible deadlines for the new gondola lift that should connect the village of Benasque with the ski slopes of Cerler. If all goes well, the manufacturer will be awarded this summer, and in autumn they will start working for December 2025 to be able to release it.
and be the first to receive great ski deals!
